The purpose of these rules is to establish regulations that all users utilizing the services provided by "The Pylon Club Community" operated by The Pylon Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Community”) must be aware of.
Company: Refers to The Pylon Club Co., Ltd. It is denoted in Korean as 더파일론클럽 / 유한회사 더파일론클럽, and in English as The Pylon Club / The Pylon Club Co., Ltd.
Administrator: Includes individuals who are employed full-time by the Company and manage all websites and social media channels owned by the Company.
Editor: An editor is an individual who has the authority to post articles or videos on the websites, social media channels, and blogs operated by the Company. The Company may enter into contracts with editors for a specified period.
User: Includes individuals who have registered on the Company’s website, follow the social media channels, post articles, comments, or participate in events organized by the Company.
EEUT(Neighbor): Refers to all individuals enjoying the services of the websites, offline events, and experience programs organized by the Company and indicates a class of users. Additional user classifications may be added later.
Event: Includes special events for other customers that post paid advertisements on the Company's community website, offline events, and experience programs for products or services.
Other terms used in the community rules are defined in accordance with the service terms and conditions.
These operational rules are set forth to consistently address issues that may arise in the provision of various paid and unpaid services and magazine information provided by The Pylon Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"). They establish the standards for service operation and the detailed matters that users must adhere to. Any unauthorized posting of messages that violate these operational rules or that cause material or psychological harm to other users may result in disadvantages, so users are advised to read the following content carefully and comply with it. The Company strives to establish rational operational policies by continuously exchanging opinions with users to improve policies related to services. The community rules will continuously be amended to limit acts that adversely impact the atmosphere and operation of the community, including illegal activities, various forms of discrimination and hatred, incitement of social conflict, infringement of others' rights, causing discomfort to other users, leaking community information, and abnormal activities that lead to system failures. Changes to these operational rules will be announced at least 7 days prior to their application via an announcement. In cases of significant changes, such changes will be indicated in the announcements, so please ensure to verify them.
The Pylon Club Co., Ltd. provides the following community services to users:
Creating posts in the bulletin board (uploading text, images, videos, various files, etc.)
Searching posts in the bulletin board (by title, content, author, etc.)
Expressing appreciation for content
Communication services such as comments and replies
Notification services for reactions to users' own posts (likes, comments, trending posts, etc.)
Notifications about popular posts, announcements, and other content the administrators wish to inform users about
Any services developed by the Pylon Club administrators or provided through collaboration contracts with other companies
The community site may temporarily suspend service provision due to maintenance checks, replacements, failures of information communication facilities, or communication interruptions.
The community administrators monitor actions that violate the community rules and take appropriate measures based on set standards. The standards for handling reported violations, users’ report history, and the results of such reports will dictate the actions taken, which may include post deletion, restriction of post creation and service usage for up to 5 years, etc.
If users discover any posts, comments, or one-on-one conversations that they believe violate the Terms of Use or community rules, or abusive behaviors, they can report them by clicking the report button.
In the case of a report being received, portions of the conversation may be temporarily stored for processing.
Received reports are assessed according to specific criteria by the administrators, who may notify the content reported and the content creator before taking appropriate restrictive measures.
If a user’s posted message does not align with the purpose of the bulletin board, the administrator may change the classification of the post after verification.
The Pylon Club Community prohibits the posting of messages, writing of comments, opening of bulletin boards, and abusive behaviors that fall under the following categories for the protection of all users and the smooth provision of services. These community rules are based on the guidelines set forth by the Korea Communications Standards Commission regarding information communications.
Acts that significantly threaten international peace and international order, including racism and terrorism.
Acts that desecrate foreign national flags or emblems, thereby being contrary to national interests or significantly harming goodwill between countries.
Other acts of disparaging, belittling, or denigrating the political, religious, cultural, or social aspects of foreign nations that could harm goodwill between countries.
Acts that pose a significant threat to the existence, safety, or fundamental democratic order of the state.
Acts that deny the Constitution or have a substantial risk of paralyzing state institutions.
Acts that leak classified information designated as confidential under the law.
Acts prohibited under the "National Security Act."
Acts that significantly distort historical facts in violation of the Constitution.
Acts that are aimed at committing crimes or are exceedingly likely to involve conspiracy, instigation, or facilitation of crimes.
Acts that specifically describe the means or methods of committing a crime or the processes or results leading to a crime, inciting criminal activity.
Acts that glorify crimes, criminals, or criminal organizations, making them appear justifiable.
Other acts that promote illegal activities and severely undermine sound legal order.
Acts that explicitly express or depict body parts or sexual acts.
Acts that use provocative and disgusting sexual expressions and slang or vulgar language to specifically describe sexual activities.
Acts that graphically depict sexual violence.
Acts that describe sounds related to sexual acts in an extremely provocative manner.
Acts that explicitly depict sexual activities using body parts or tools.
Acts that explicitly describe masturbation and foreplay in detail.
Acts that specifically describe abnormal behaviors such as sodomy, time-sharing, polyandry, incest, sadism/masochism, voyeurism, etc.
Acts that directly and explicitly depict children or adolescents as sexual playthings.
Acts of unhealthy gatherings, conversations, or online/offline meetings.
Acts related to the sharing of entertainment information, illegal transactions, or solicitation.
Other acts that might significantly harm the sexual modesty of ordinary individuals.
Acts that specifically describe violence, assaults, threats, or abuse against vulnerable social groups such as disabled persons, the elderly, pregnant women, or children.
Acts that cause disgust by specifically and factually depicting dung, bodily excretions, etc.
Acts that excessively detail medical procedures, such as surgical scenes, causing disgust.
Acts that use dangerous items such as weapons to excessively harm bodies or corpses, exhibiting a disregard for life.
Acts that specifically describe animal abuse, carcasses, predation, and evoke feelings of brutality or disgust.
Acts that use excessive vulgar language and profanity to evoke discomfort or irritation.
Other acts that concretely express physical or mental suffering of people or animals in a factual and explicit manner, causing feelings of brutality or disgust.
Acts that promote gambling and other vices.
Acts that encourage or justify unscientific lifestyles such as superstition.
Acts that slander or distort specific religions, sects, or religious rituals, or promote or propagate doctrines.
Acts that belittle socially marginalized groups like the disabled, elderly, etc.
Acts that significantly degrade educational standards by distorting school education, etc.
Acts of discrimination against individuals without reasonable grounds based on gender, religion, disability, age, social status, origin, race, region, or profession, or inciting prejudice against such groups.
Acts that aim for suicide or that provoke suicidal impulses by glamorizing, assisting, or encouraging such thoughts.
Acts that unlawfully damage or destroy information communication systems, data, or programs without justifiable grounds or disturb their operation.
Acts of providing materials considered harmful to youth under the Youth Protection Act without confirming the recipient’s age or adhering to legal obligations regarding labeling.
Acts of facilitating, inducing, promoting, or assisting sexual trafficking.
Any other act that may significantly cause social turmoil.
Acts that cause discomfort or inconvenience to other users.
Acts that significantly infringe upon privacy and freedom by leaking personal information.
Acts of significantly infringing another’s personal rights by postingthe photographs, videos, etc., of others without proper authorization.
Acts aimed at publicly defaming others for the purpose of insulting them or revealing true or false facts that could harm another's reputation.
Acts that repeatedly induce fear or anxiety through symbols, phrases, sounds, images, or videos directed at others.
Acts that infringe upon intellectual property rights, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, etc., by using, executing, or intermediate handling of another person's trademarks or works without legitimate authority.
Acts that divulge content or endings, incite disgust, deceive, or shock individuals. 8. Any other acts that infringe upon the rights of others without legitimate authority.
Acts that advocate, recommend, oppose, or belittle related organizations such as media organizations or civic groups.
Acts that support, defame, or encourage voting related to specific political parties or candidates.
Acts that accuse other users of being affiliated with specific political organizations or advocating specific ideologies.
Acts that reject diverse opinions and aim to homogenize public sentiment.
Acts that insult, denounce, or ridicule other users or posts with inappropriate language.
Any actions that could provoke political or social conflict.
Mentions or related activities regarding government agencies (government, civil servants), political-related organizations (politicians, parties, civic organizations), media, and civic groups.
Acts expressing opinions, claims, ideologies, or values concerning policy, diplomacy, or political factions.
Mentions or related activities regarding societal issues related to gender, religion, race, origin, region, profession, ideology, etc.
Use of metaphors or slang that could be inferred in relation to the above content.
Promotion of the same topic through external activities, proxy posting requests, and account sharing across multiple schools for the purpose of viral marketing.
Posting credit card, insurance, and medical advertisements without consulting the administrators.
Promotion of adult, gambling, or betting sites.
Requests for account selling, sharing, or transferring.
Promotion of clubs operated or affiliated with external organizations, corporations, institutions, or businesses without consulting with the administrators.
Promotion of clubs that are directly or indirectly related to organizations, politicians, parties, religions, or civic groups conducting related activities.
Promotion of clubs seeking non-college student members.
Promotion of clubs in the format of meetings or dating.
Promotion of education, medical, dining, real estate, delivery, or sharing businesses.
Promotion of applications, websites, social media sites, blogs, cafes, stores, or services.
Promotion of chatting, photo exchanges, clubs, dating, meetings, and referrals.
Requests for subscriptions, likes, peer participation, recruitment, link clicks, referral inputs, app installations, surveys, or membership registration.
Requests for account sharing and sales, promotion and referral requests, or proxy writing of posts related to viral events.
Any promotional or advertising posts made without consultation with the administrators.
Information to recruit companions for suicide and self-harm.
Information that presents specific methods for suicide and self-harm.
Documents, photos, or videos containing content that executes or induces suicide or self-harm.
Information regarding the sale or use of materials intended for committing suicide.
Any other information clearly intended to incite suicide or self-harm.
Alcohol, tobacco, and narcotics.
Glasses, contact lenses, pharmaceuticals, blood donation certificates, health supplements, medical devices.
Imitation products, copies of copyrighted works.
Harmful media for youth.
Items exceeding $2,000 in dollars/foreign currency.
Acts of reselling for profit, such as scalping tickets.
Other items prohibited from trading or prohibited from online transactions by related laws.
Acts of posting abnormal posts that cause errors, such as using special characters or posting without titles or content.
Acts of repeatedly posting the same topic across one or more bulletin boards.
Acts that have a detrimental effect on services, such as community leakage, system hacking, or post crawling.
Acts of manipulating public opinion using anonymity.
Exploitation of the reporting and empathy system.
Acts impersonating an administrator or an equivalent authority to exercise power.
Posting external links without content, coercing or inducing the use of external services, or encouraging users to leave the service.
Acts of distributing illegal recordings, deceptive imagery, or materials involving sexual exploitation of minors and youths.
Regarding the acts mentioned above, necessary measures such as deletion or access restriction as per Article 22-5, Paragraph 1 of the Telecommunications Business Act will be taken to prevent distribution, and violators may face penalties under relevant laws.
If users discover posts suspected of being illegal recordings, please report them to the administrators of The Pylon Club via email.
Acts of posting messages that deviate from the subject or rules of the bulletin board/community.
Indirectly or inferentially executing acts mentioned above.
Indirectly assisting or encouraging others to commit the acts described above.
Any other acts aimed at achieving similar objectives as those mentioned above.
The community categorizes spaces as follows to facilitate smooth communication and content creation among users. Each space may be established, modified, or deleted for operational reasons.
Definitions of Terms
Space Access: Permission to view the list of posts in the space
Content Creation: Permission to create content in the relevant space
Content Reading: Permission to view the detailed pages of the content in the relevant space
Comment Writing: Permission to write comments and replies at the bottom of the content detail pages in the relevant space
The Club Space allows any member to access the space, create content, read content, and write comments.
Users can create and discuss content on any free topic.
The Articles is managed by the Pylon Club administrators, who post informative articles about life in Korea.
Users can respond and discuss by commenting below the posts.
This space is used to promote events organized and managed by the community administrators.
Offline events may include recruiting participants for experience programs regarding specific products and services in Korea, recruiting foreign supporters for specific festivals and events, and fam tours of specific regions in Korea.
For offline events that users can participate in without a participation fee, a reservation fee is collected on the day of the event to prevent no-shows. The reservation fee will be refunded to users who are confirmed to have participated after the event concludes. If the user cancels or does not participate on the day of the event after paying the reservation, the reservation fee will be retained by the Company.
For offline events that require users to pay a participation fee, the Company uses third-party payment services for payment. When using a third-party payment service, users will provide the personal information necessary for payment, and any personal information submitted in relation to payment and event participation will be disposed of after the event is completed.
These rules come into effect on October 1, 2024.
