The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the limited liability company "The Pylon Club" (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") and users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who join the Company to use the community services (hereinafter referred to as "Services") provided by the Company.
Company: Refers to the limited liability company "The Pylon Club." It is denoted in Korean as 더파일론클럽 / 유한회사 더파일론클럽, and in English as The Pylon Club / The Pylon Club Co., Ltd.
Administrator: Individuals who work full-time at the Company and manage all websites and social media channels owned by the Company.
Editor: An Editor refers to a user who has the authority to post articles or videos on the websites, SNS channels, and blogs managed by the Company. The Company may enter into a valid contract with qualified users for content editing.
Contents: Includes all forms of written documents, images, videos, users' comments, reviews, etc., posted on all websites, SNS channels, and blogs managed by the Company.
User: Refers to anyone who has signed up on the Company's website or follows the SNS channels, posts articles, comments, or participates in events organized by the Company.
EEUT(Neighbor): A title that refers to all individuals using the services of the websites, offline events, and experience group services managed by the Company. It also refers to users who subscribe to the Company's website and SNS channels to enjoy content, with additional user classifications possibly added later.
Event: Includes special events for other clients posting paid advertisements on the Company’s community website, offline events, experience groups for products and services, etc.
The administrators may revise these Terms to comply with laws regarding regulations, basic electronic transactions, electronic signatures, promotion and use of information and communication networks, door-to-door sales laws, consumer protection laws, etc., without violating relevant laws.
When revising the Terms, the administrators will specify the date of application and the reason for revision and announce this on the company’s website from 7 days before the effective date until the effective date. However, a preliminary notice period will be provided. In this case, the Company will clearly show the differences between the content before and after the revision for user understanding.
If the administrators revise these Terms, the revised Terms will only apply to contracts concluded after the effective date, while the provisions of the Terms prior to the revision will apply to contracts concluded before the revision.
Matters not specified in these Terms and the interpretation of these Terms will be governed by consumer protection guidelines, electronic transaction consumer protection guidelines, and relevant laws enacted by the Government of the Republic of Korea or customary practices.
The Company provides the following services:
The Pylon Club Community – Provision of online and offline spaces
Providing simple information about Korean culture and lifestyle
Providing various experience opportunities to experience Korean culture
Networking among users interested in Korean culture
The Company may change or expand the scope of services provided based on users’ requests and needs as the number of users increases. In this case, the date of service change or expansion will be specified and posted in the Company's announcements.
The Company will not engage in acts prohibited by laws and these Terms and will strive to continuously and stably provide services as specified in these Terms.
The Company will establish a system to ensure that users can safely and conveniently utilize the services.
The Company will provide information in response to users' needs and requests within the community and will offer opportunities for users to participate in events.
If users suffer damages due to the Company’s intent or negligence while using the services, the Company will be responsible for compensating the user for the damage in accordance with relevant laws.
However, the Company will not be liable for damages arising from causes outside its control, including force majeure events or circumstances where the user is unable to use the services due to their own intent or negligence.
Additionally, the Company shall not be responsible for damages incurred from the exchange of opinions, transactions, and other interactions among users facilitated through the community, nor for damages arising from the user's reliance on other users' content posted on the service, unless special circumstances exist.
The Company will address users' opinions regarding service operation and management through appropriate procedures.
The Company will strive to maintain a pleasant and smooth service experience. As part of this, the Company may take appropriate measures, including termination of membership or permanent disqualification of users who engage in acts that undermine the quality of the community, following appropriate procedures.
Posts that violate laws or societal norms can be deleted by the administrator without prior notice.
Users have the right to receive information regarding the community services.
Users may write posts and participate in content provision on websites, SNS channels, and blogs managed by the Company.
Users can participate in events and related activities organized by the Company.
Users must not engage in acts prohibited by the operational rules of the Pylon Club as published by the Company. Prohibited acts include:
Causing physical or psychological harm to others, defaming others’ character
Violating the Information and Communications Network Act and the Personal Information Protection Act
Users shall be liable to compensate for any damages incurred by the Company or other users due to their fault.
A user's qualification shall be lost under the following circumstances:
If the user expresses the intention to withdraw from the service.
If the user plans or executes the use of the service with the intent to harm social interests.
If the user violates the business conditions and usage conditions set by relevant laws or organizations.
If the user disrupts the use of services by other users or third parties, or threatens the order of electronic transactions through information theft.
If the Company decides to revoke a user’s qualification, the registered nickname will be deleted.
Upon withdrawal, posts registered in each bulletin board (space) will not be automatically deleted, so if deletion is desired, the user must log in and delete them themselves before automatic withdrawal.
The Company collects the necessary personal information from users according to the provisions of relevant laws to provide services. (Individual items concerning personal information are notified in the Privacy Policy.)
The Company will protect users' personal information and notify the contents on its website.
The Company may temporarily suspend the provision of services in the event of maintenance checks, replacement or breakdown of information and communication facilities, or interruptions in communication. The Company can completely discontinue the current service based on a replacement with new services or other reasons deemed appropriate by the Company.
In case of service suspension as per paragraph 1, the Company will notify users using the methods specified in Article 3, Paragraph 3. However, if service suspension is due to reasons beyond the Company’s control (such as disk failures or system downtimes without intent or negligence from the system administrator), prior notice may not be possible.
When the Company needs to notify users, it can notify the member at the email address submitted during registration for The Pylon Club community.
For notifications to an unspecified number of users, the Company may substitute individual notifications by making a public announcement on the Company bulletin board (space) for at least one week.
If requested by the user, the Company may send information about services and products via email or use it for delivery, marketing, or other necessary purposes.
Copyright and other intellectual property rights regarding works written by the administrators of the Company and users utilizing the community services will belong to the Company (The Pylon Club Co., Ltd.).
Users must not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or utilize information obtained from the service for commercial purposes without prior consent from the Company.
The copyrights of posts made in the Company community belong to the respective user who posted them. However, the Company may use posts registered by users without separate permission within a reasonable scope and in accordance with fair use practices specified in copyright laws for the following purposes:
Reproduction, modification, adaptation, display, transmission, and distribution of user content without compromising its core value and intent
Marketing activities utilizing user content for planning exhibitions, events, etc.
Providing users’ content to media, telecommunication companies, or service affiliate clients for display or promotional purposes. The Company will not disclose users' personal information in this case without separate consent. Should the Company wish to use users' content in other ways beyond the aforementioned, it must obtain the user's prior consent via methods such as phone, fax,email, or other means.
The administrators of the Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users concerning the free services provided unless such damages are caused by the Company's gross negligence.
The Company will prioritize handling complaints and opinions submitted by users. However, if quick resolution is difficult, the Company will immediately notify the user of the reasons and the schedule for processing.
Disputes arising between the Company and the user may be subject to mediation by the Electronic Transactions Mediation Committee established under Article 28 of the Electronic Transaction Basic Act and Article 15 of the enforcement decree thereof.
By enrolling or participating in the community services and events provided by the Company, users are considered to have agreed to these Terms of Service, which will take effect from the date the user joins any services provided by the Company.
The Company's administrators will post the content of these Terms on the website operated by the Company () so that users can understand it.
